THE HEART OF OUR PROGRAM

Our Share-A-Haircut program launched in 1999 as a way to engage with our neighbors in our salon communities. The program’s concept is a one-for-one donation allowing our clients to directly support someone less fortunate.

The back-to-school program is held for the first two weeks in August – for every child’s haircut purchased at any Hair Cuttery location, we donate a free haircut certificate to a child in need through local social services agencies. A new haircut symbolizes a new start and new possibilities. We want children to associate feeling good about themselves with getting ready to head back to school. Hair Cuttery believes in making beauty shine from within and a new style is just what children need to start the new school year with confidence!

SHARING THE LOVE ONE HAIRCUT AT A TIME

To commemorate our 40th anniversary in 2014, we expanded the Share-A-Haircut program to benefit three additional communities throughout the year: the homeless, victims of domestic violence and veterans.

AS OF November 2016, WE HAVE DONATED 2.01 MILLION FREE HAIRCUT CERTIFICATES, VALUED AT APPROXIMATELY $33 MILLION, TO THOSE IN NEED.
